„We Start at Breakfast” is a training course about Human Rights Education. It gathered 24 participants from: Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Lithuania and Poland. I had a pleasure to represent CIM Horyzonty. It was a great opportunity to share information about youth in different countries and Human Rights Education in practice. We developed our knowledge about Human Rights, Participation and Citizenship during many workshops and activities. We had activity about violence, which led us to reflection about what makes us react. Then we were discussing about way of helping and self confidence in that issue. We focused on competences needed and again realized importance of Human Rights Education for development of ourselves and others. We learned about learning process and ways of learning. This activity showed how important is to focus on learner and what is idea of non-formal education. Moreover we took part in World Café with local youth who shared their experience with us. I was impressed with their involvement in local development issues I met very open-minded and highly motivated people. Cooperation was easy – me made a great team, so it was great experience to learn from each-other. And that was also one of the aims of training. I hope to transform knowledge I gain into action.
