C*3 - Crazy Cycle Caravan

W pierwszym w historii CIM Horyzonty a także YEU International workcampie uczestniczyło: 9 międzynarodowych wolontariuszy (z Cypru, Hiszpanii, Korei Południowej oraz Turcji), 10 dzieci z Wielufunkcyjnej Placówki Opiekuńczo - Wychowawczej w Mostach, 3 wychowawców oraz 6 członków Horyzontów.
Na początku grupa wolontariuszy spotkała się w Poznaniu, gdzie planowała swoją dalszą współpracę, a także poznawała siebie nawzajem. Następnie grupa przeniosła się do Mostów, gdzie rozpoczęła się integracja z dziećmi, a także pierwsze wycieczki rowerowe oraz prezentacke krajów uczestników (dzieci na długo zapamiętają cypryjskie suflaki przy ognisku czy naukę tańca flamenco). Trzecim miejscem pobyru uczestników był camping w Międzyzdrojach, gdzie rozbito obóz z namiotami. Stamtąd codziennie ruszały wycieczki rowerowe do różnych zakątków Wyspy Wolin czy miejscowości nadmorskich. M.in. uczestnicy zwiedzili Jezioro Turkusowe, słowiańską wioskę na Wyspie Wolin, latarnię i port w Świnoujściu. Łzom na pożegnanie nie było końca.
Oto fragmenty ewaluacji międzynarodowych wolontariuszy:
I mostly liked… having time and sharing almost everything with the kids - bicycle tours, staying in a tent and having camp and the atmosphere among volunteers.
I mostly liked… the integration of people from different countries.
After this project… when I turn back to Turkey I will immediately begin to create a project that is as good as this one and try to increase the awareness of youth, students and teenagers about the projects related to YEU.
After this project… I will try to do a lot of voluntary service and join the bicycle club
After this project… another project with children from orphanage in Cyprus
Now I know that… I have the willingness to help the ones who are in need whether it is material or jus love to give. And that I want to work as volunteer in any kind of organization.
Also I get the awareness of that to communicate with a person from another country doesn’t have to involve a common language it is just the peoples’ own willingness to participate in communication.
Now I know… the things which you have to take under consideration whole organizing such sportive – holidays – camping events
I would love to… work more actively in may own country as a ‘Youth Path’ member, attend to another events conducted by YEU.
I would love to … participate in this camp again, recommend it to my friends
I learned … how to work with a group, how to be a good father
I learned … a lot of things how children are very well organized and never stop doing their tasks and things about how to work in the organization and team
I would improve… communication
I would improve… you have to give more knowledge to kids how to protect better our environment and how to clean the space (also to volunteers) + motivation
Organizing Team… we had a lot of people so different from each other- teamwork: somebody repairs a bike, somebody prepares the food and somebody makes fun
Other comments: I want to help you to make another project like that. The volunteers are always models/patterns for kids – it’s very important to take care about this.
