Samuele report - november

Cześć!

Here is Samuele again. The second month of our EVS has passed…so quickly D:

Contrary to the first one, which was a warming up and introduction period, this month we have finally started the activities and the language classes. However, this week we have had a small break thanks to the 1st November festivity, and since the previous day was Halloween we celebrated it painting our faces in scaring but awesome ways (special thanks of the week goes to Alexandra that painted my face) and going to the city center. It was really funny, but also very significant because I had the opportunity to understand Poland is a melting pot even more than I expected: I met people from Armenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Kirghizstan, countries so far from my sphere of knowledge that make me dream far landscapes and cultures.

Nevertheless, we also started working for local project like “What’s Łazarz for you”, which main goal is to walk through the district making some short interviews to people asking what they think about the place they live in and posing questions that we have prepared. We will also invite people to join our association activities: we have lot of ideas about projects and workshops we will develop, like painting events, recycling workshops and other activities easy to happen in closed space (winter is coming…).

Personally I was also helping Kamila to prepare the infopack for the “Roots of Hate” training, which will take place in Poznan in December, and it will be a good opportunity to talk about racism, intolerance and make workshops on this topic. In addition, we are keeping spreading informations about EVS: this week Alexandra went in a high school, and next one it will be Mikel’s and my turn.

So for this week is enough,

See you next time!

 Ciao raga’!
